Sequence Number (1)
- Indicates the position of the data in the packets
- Every byte is sequenced
- Used for re-ordering packets and finding lost packets
- Consists of Initial Sequence Number (ISN) and position in the application data
- ISN is randomly assigned for every TCP connection
- For security reasons, ISN should not be easy to be guessed
