The Sliding Window N(R), N(S)

• N(S)  is  the  sequence  number  of  the  information  frame  that  contains  it
• N(R)  acks  all  info  frames  with  seq  numbers  <  N(R);  i.e.,  N(R)  =  NFE
• Sequence  number  space  is  7  (3  bits)  or  127  (7  bits)
• With  X.25  L2,  receive  window  is  always  1  so  frames  only  accepted  in  order
