• RR  -  receive  ready  -  ready  to  rec  I  frame
  • clear  busy  condition  (RNR)
    
• RNR  -  receive  not  ready  -  busy  condition
  • received  frames  may  be  discarded
    
• REJ  -  reject  -  ask  retrans  from  N(R)
  • clear  busy  condition
    
  • cleared  when  frame  with  N(S)  =  N(R)  of  rejected  frame  is  received
    
• SREJ  -  selective  reject  -  ask  retrans  of  N(R)
