• Decision  process
  • D  (attributes  of  route)  ------>  non  neg  integer
    
  • D  specifies  the  degree  of  preference  for  a  route
    
  • route  to  dest  with  highest  preference  used
    
• Note  that  D  does  not  depend  on  the  existence  or  non-existence  of  other  routes
• D  is  based  on  policy  considerations,  not  necessarily  on  the  cost  of  routes
